Earth Day 2011
Registration for Earth Day
This year North East Trees will be celebrating Earth Day on Saturday April 16th at Rio de Los Angeles State Park with a day of service and maintenance.
Due to a lack of funding, no maintenance is being performed around the wetland area, resulting in a proliferation of invasive plants and weeds that are choking the newly planted trees and native plantings.
With the help of all our volunteers, we will be doing invasive removal, as well as rebuilding watering basins around the native plants and trees, mulching them, and watering them.

Wear comfortable clothes, closed toed shoes and a hat. Bring along work gloves if you have them, sunscreen and a refillable water bottle. We will provide tools.
Come prepared to get dirty and have a great time tending this beautiful open space in the middle of dense urbanization.
Rio de Los Angeles State Park is located at 1900 San Fernando Road, Los Angeles, CA 90065.
Registration starts at 8:00 am. We start work at 9:00 am and end at about 12:30 pm.
We look forward to seeing you there!
